Brits whose dads love their gardens can give them a special treat for Fathers Day this year.

With the celebration falling on June 20th, it is perfect timing to buy them a ticket to the BBC Gardeners' World Live event, which runs in Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre between June 16th and 20th.

Whether he is a seasoned expert or simply just a man with a desire to improve his green space, there should be something at the show for him.

Talks and demonstrations should help dads expand their knowledge and they may even be able to tap the brains of celebrities such as Monty Don, Toby Buckland and new Plant Heritage president Alan Titchmarsh.

Those who would like to transform their space into something more macho than a flowery garden should still enjoy the event.

Tickets include entry to the BBC Summer Good Food Show, where dads should find all they need to create the perfect summer barbecue, with live cooking demonstrations, beer and wine tastings and more.

According to the Royal Horticultural Society, Alan Titchmarsh is succeeding the late Robin Compton as president of Plant Heritage.
