A garden in Walsall was turned into a dream setting for a wedding at the weekend.

Sarah Newton fulfilled a childhood dream by holding her reception in the beautiful garden of her parents' home, the Express & Star reported.

After Sarah had tied the knot with partner Andy in a traditional church wedding, the couple and guests returned to the well-known Four Seasons Garden at her family home in Buchanan Road, Walsall, which has won a number of accolades including Walsall in Bloom and a place on the BBC's Gardener's World programme.

Sarah told the newspaper she had elected to hold the reception at the garden, which hosted more than 200 friends and relatives, because it made her feel "relaxed and happy".

"I've seen the garden change so much, it's completely different now, it changes every year. My parents used to go on holiday a lot and we had quite big garden parties," she said.

Homeowners looking to reap maximum enjoyment from their gardens could opt to have a summer house or log cabin erected. Last week, a report in the Daily Telegraph suggested that garden sheds are growing in use in the UK and becoming cosier and more comfortable as a result.
