More Log Houses Articles A young Scottish girl has been whisked off to visit Santa Claus' log cabin in Lapland after winning a radio competition.
The YOUR Radio contest searched for a child most deserving of a Christmas present and decided that Eilidh Johnstone was that person, the Dumbarton Reporter revealed.
The five-year-old has had to cope with her parents giving almost all their attention to her younger brother, who has a rare problem with his throat that has made him struggle to swallow since birth.
Reilly Johnstone was born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula / Oesophageal Atresia and has spent the first year of his life in and out of hospital and requiring near constant attention.
However, Eilidh has coped without complaining and was chosen for the special trip to Lapland, where she also enjoyed a ride on a husky sled and saw Santa's reindeer outside his secret log cabin.
YOUR Radio DJ Dave Ross told the newspaper: "We are just delighted at this time of year we can make Christmas special for her."
Meanwhile, thisisthewestcountry.co.uk recently revealed that a young cerebral palsy sufferer was recently treated to a similar trip to stay in a log cabin in Lapland.
