More Log Cabins Articles Garden sheds are worthwhile investments that can add value to a property, it has been argued.
Housing market expert Henry Pryor suggested that a good quality garden shed can serve as further temptation to potential buyers.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: "They add character to a garden and often reflect the personality of the owner.
"A buyer will be impressed by this and will look forward to stamping his or her mark on the shed."
Elsewhere, the newspaper noted that a number of famous writers produced much of their best work from garden sheds.
For example, it observed that Dylan Thomas wrote much of his poetry and prose, including the radio play Under MilkWood, in his shed at Laugharne, Carmarthenshire.
Roald Dahl, meanwhile, also enjoyed the peace and solitude of a garden shed.
"It was known as his 'writing hut' and no one else was allowed in when he was at work," said the paper.
