A newly refurbished school has improved its outdoor learning space and this may encourage those looking to create a garden office.

Bluebell Hill Primary School in St Ann's was officially reopened this week after undergoing a £1.3m upgrade, according to the Nottingham Post.

The school now boasts a new reception, freshly decorated classrooms that are bright and uplifting and an extension of the outdoor learning and working area, which functions like an outdoor office for the pupils.

Originally built in the 1930s, the school was chosen as one of six primary schools to receive a cut of the city council's £18m Primary Capital Programme.

Funding for the project came from the government in 2009 and was allocated to schools that needed to be modernised.

Head teacher Jo Bradley said that exterior improvements have made it easier to move in and out of the school and "this goes well with our attempts to create more chances for pupils to learn when they are outside."
